Former Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari on Daniel Msendami's move to Orlando Pirates: It is a good move for him as it will elevate his game
Benjamin Mwaruwari has commended Daniel Msendami’s decision to join Orlando Pirates.
The former Manchester City striker described Msendami’s move from Marumo Gallants to the Sea Robbers as a good one.
The Zimbabwean international arrives at Pirates, having played for his native in Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations where they lost in the group stages, with high expectations.
While in North Africa, Msendami revealed Pirates have been tracking him for some time and finally the move to place.
“For me, Daniel made a good move. In football, a player must not hesitate to take big steps,” Mwaruwari told FarPost.
“This move came at the right time because Daniel has been in South Africa for over a season now and understands exactly what is required in that league.”
“He must put his head down, respect all his teammates and not think that the coach who signed him guarantees him a place because they previously worked together.
“He has to work hard and stay away from off-the-field activities that are not encouraged, because Jozi is always Jozi,” Mwaruwari concluded.
Msendami's arrival coincides with Pirates' aim to win the PSL title and he will have a chance to help the team reach that goa.
