Langelihle Phili is not yet at the required level after making his debut for Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 loss to Golden Arrows.
Phili joined Chiefs last week after a weeks of negotiations with his former club Stellenbosch FC and made his maiden start yesterday at FNB Stadium.
He was introduced in the second half as Chiefs chased the game but it was not enough as they eventually lost the game.
His coach has given his verdict on the player's display at Soccer City.
“He’s happy about the performance of Phili today,” translated Da Cruz’s interpreter.
“But for him he’s not ready, not at 100% for the moment. So, we go step by step with him to be careful.”
