Fernando da Cruz has explained the absence of Ethan Chislett and Flavio da Silva in yesterday's 1-0 loss to Golden Arrows in the MTN8.

Chiefs lost without the two players who have been impressive in pre-season which is what shocked many by the duo's absence.

“First thing, Silva got hurt yesterday at the training, so we were left minus one,” he said, as per his translator.

“We have three games in six days, so we prefer to be careful with him.

“The same thing for Chislett also.”
