Aaron Ramsey has officially called time on his football career.
Details: Today, the official page of the 35-year-old Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey published a statement in which the player announced his retirement from professional football.
Ramsey bid farewell to the fans, thanking them for their support, and said it's now time for him to move on to the next chapter in his life.
Aaron Ramsey began his professional journey in 2008 with Cardiff City. He rose to prominence during his spell at London’s Arsenal, before going on to feature for Juventus in Turin, Rangers in Scotland, Nice, Cardiff again, and his last club, the Mexican side Pumas, which he left at the end of 2025 after his beloved dog went missing.
Ramsey was also notorious for a peculiar superstition: whenever he scored, it seemed a famous person somewhere in the world would pass away, sparking countless memes and fan theories around the so-called "Ramsey curse."
On the international stage, Ramsey earned 86 caps for Wales and scored 21 goals.
