Egypt goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir says his team is fully prepared for the Africa Cup of Nations third-place clash against Nigeria, calling it an important test against a familiar opponent.
Speaking to reporters in Morocco ahead of the match, Shobeir acknowledged Nigeria’s attacking quality but stressed Egypt’s desire to end the tournament on a positive note.
“Of course, it's an important game against tough opponents… We'll try our best. We try to take a medal back to Egypt,” he said.
“When you play in Afcon, you will play against all teams…”
He added that a recent friendly means “we know them very well.”
