Durban City captain Siphamandla Ncanana on facing TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup final: That we beat them twice in our PSL games will be our challenge
Siphamandla Ncanana has identified Durban City’s biggest challenge against TS Galaxy ahead of the Nedbank Cup final this evening.
Ncanana said City’s positive results in the Betway Premiership against Galaxy will become a hindrance towards their hopes of lifting the Ke Yona Cup this evening.
Durban City has twice beaten TS Galaxy in the PSL with both games ending 2-0 to the Kwa-Zulu Natal side.
Now those results, according to Ncanana, are likely to make them approach today’s final casually than with vigour.
“It will be hard because we’ve beaten them twice in the league,” said Ncanana.
“I think it’s gonna be hard, it’s not gonna be easy.”
At the moment Ncanana’s City are in a slump of sort as they have failed to win a game in their four PSL matches.
In those games, the PSL newcomers managed a draw and lost the rest of those games.
The captain said the above fact has no direct bearing on today’s game.
“No, it doesn’t affect us because before the slump, we had won so many games,” he added.
“It’s only three games where we couldn’t get the positive result. So, it doesn’t affect us anyhow.”
The match starts at 6pm at New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
