Ashraf Hendricks has revealed Durban City has included Caf Confederation Cup as one of its tournaments they will participate in.

The Durban City assistant coach said his team has seen local teams in Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC participate in continental competition which has made them desire the same experience.

But for them to end up playing in the Caf Confederation Cup, they need to go past TS Galaxy this evening at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in the Nedbank Cup final.

“I think that’s one of the things. Obviously, yet again, as a club, it wasn’t prepared for. And it’s something that now all of a sudden pops up on our objective list,” said Hendricks.

“And it’s something that we want to have. Because at the end of the day, we want to be part of Africa. We’ve seen Sundowns, we’ve seen Stellenbosch.

“We want to be a part of that. And we want to have a scenario not just to be a part of it, but to experience and to learn and to get the badge out there, get the club out there.”

The match starts at 6pm.
