Mandla Masango Talks Derby Pressure and Importance
Veteran player Mandla Masango offered his opinions on the impending matches, highlighting the derby's intensity:
“In the derby, there are no friendlies. Every match matters. Whoever steps onto that field must give their all, 100%. The supporters don’t have the luxury of choosing which game to win or lose; they expect victory every time.”
Masango acknowledged the importance of leadership from senior players and coaches to ensure the team remains focused during these critical games:
“It’s up to the coaches and senior players to guide the younger guys. We are playing two massive games back-to-back. We need to stay 100% focused. Derby matches are decided by small margins, not by big scorelines. Coaches must ensure the players remain sharp and perform on the day.”
