The Olympic Games in Paris were remembered not only for updated records, but also for several scandalous events.

The most high-profile event outside sporting events can be considered the conflict surrounding Algerian boxer Iman Khelif and her gender. Many accuse her of having undergone gender reassignment surgery, but no evidence has been found.

"She was born a woman, was registered as a woman, lived the life of a woman and boxed as a woman, has a female passport," the International Olympic Committee said earlier.

Iman Khelif, 25, has competed in women's boxing all her life. However, last year she failed to pass the gender test, so she was disqualified from the World Championships. However, she still went to the Olympics, where she confidently won a gold medal.

Transgender boxer Iman Khelif won in the 66 kg weight category. In the final bout, she won in three rounds by unanimous decision of judges over Chinese boxer Liu Yang.

Recall that Helif defeated Angela Carini because of the opponent's refusal to fight the Algerian 46 seconds after the start of the fight. Then Imam beat Luca Hamori (Hungary), Janjaem Suwannapheng (Thailand) and Yang Liu in the final.
