Cedric Kaze sees huge improvement in Kaizer Chiefs' campaign as they finished third on the standings
Cedric Kaze believes this current season was a competitive one as more than two teams showed their mettle.
The Kaizer Chiefs coach said no team was as dominant as it has been in previous seasons.
Mamelodi Sundowns have been dominant for the past eight seasons and Amakhosi have not finished in the top three in that period.
But in this campaign, Sundowns are likely to lose the Betway Premiership to Orlando Pirates, which is something that was never envisaged.
Also Chiefs' being in the top three was never imagined.
Kaze said he was pleased with how Amakhosi have turned out.
“Yeah, I would say that the league this season, there was not any dominating team in the league this season,” said Kaze.
“Everyone was competing and I believe that as well we were very close until probably late January, but as well it’s a lesson that we learned from what we could have done differently maybe to stay in contact with the local leaders.
“But if you see about the difference between the points that we have now this season comparing with the previous seasons, it’s true that there is a big difference, but as well this team deserves better things.”
