Cedric Kaze puts the ball in Kaizer Chiefs management court regarding their future at the club
Cedric Kaze sees the third place finish by Kaizer Chiefs under his guidance as a bargaining point for them to remain in charge of the club next season.
Kaze has been co-coaching Amakhosi with Ben Youssef Khalil after the departure of Nasredine Nabi earlier this season.
They both saw Chiefs finish third in the Betway Premiership standings in this campaign, something which the Soweto club has not seen in as many years.
“I’m hoping so, I’m hoping that we have made it difficult for the board with the results this season,” said Kaze after Chiefs lost 1-0 to Chippa United in their last PSL match yesterday.
“It’s up to the board, next week probably we will meet and to assess as well the season, as well as the coaches. There are things that we have to put on the table that we believe that would push the team forward.
Kaze did highlight though that there is no bad blood currently going on between his technical staff and the club management.
He added that the outcome of negotiations will be as a result of a good relationship between the two parties.
“It’s going to be a discussion between two parties that have lived together well and I’m pretty sure that you will get the information,” he said.
