Jesse Marsch is confident in his tactics to overcome South Africa when his Canadian side face Bafana Bafana in the World Cup last-32 match.

Marsch revelaed he has been watching Hugo Broos' troops and has identified their strengths and weaknesses in the process.

The Canada coach has particularly identified South Africa's 1-0 win over South Korea as the game he saw Bafana's way of playing.

“I was expecting them to put on a really strong performance like I know that they can,” Marsch said, according to Canadian Soccer Daily.

“But what I saw in the match was a South African team that was much more dominant and imposed themselves in the way they wanted the game to be, and certainly in a lot of the individual moments, or the transition moments, you could see the athleticism and quality of the team.

“A big thing for us will be to make sure that we’re limiting their ability to get out into open space, and that we can be very disciplined in our tactics, and then and brave to go after the game, in our ways.”

South Africa face Canada on Sunday in a 9pm kickoff South African time.
