CAF officially unveils new Champions League trophy

This Saturday, May 24, will see the first leg of the CAF Champions League final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids. But the teams will already be battling for a brand-new trophy.
Details: Today, CAF officially presented the new trophy that will be awarded to the strongest club on the African continent.
The new trophy was unveiled under the slogan: “New trophy, new era.”
This is already the fifth version of the CAF Champions League trophy in the tournament’s history. The competition has been held since 1965.
Reminder: Previously, the PSL postponed the Mamelodi Sundowns’ title ceremony in honor of their latest championship win.
