Burkina Faso unveils its squad to face Benin, the Central African Republic and Argentina
On 17 September, head coach Amir Abdou revealed the names of the players who will take part in the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and in the international friendly against Argentina.
For these three fixtures, which will take place between 25 September and 3 October, Amir Abdou has made some bold selections. The squad comprises 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 6 midfielders and 8 forwards.
The 25 selected players will kick off their qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations against Benin on 25 September at the Stade du 04 Août in Ouagadougou. Amir Abdou and his squad will then travel to Morocco to face the Central African Republic. The match will take place on 28 September in Casablanca, where the Central Africans have chosen to play their home matches.
Burkina Faso will round off their international break on 3 October with a friendly against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
