Álvaro Arbeloa did not hold back after Fulham's dramatic draw against Manchester United, launching a fierce attack on the match officials.
Details: Fulham were denied their first Premier League victory of the season after a late Manchester United equaliser secured a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage. Following the final whistle, Arbeloa expressed his frustration with the refereeing decisions, suggesting that the officials had been favouring the visitors throughout the match.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the Spanish coach made a particularly strong accusation against the officials:
“Every decision was for Manchester United. I knew after the game against Manchester City that they do NOT want Man United to lose. We are a little bit UPSET now,” Arbeloa stated.
The Fulham manager was particularly unhappy with a free-kick awarded to Manchester United shortly before their equaliser. He questioned the decision to penalise his team following a challenge involving Harry Maguire, believing that the incident should not have resulted in a foul.
The London side had taken the lead in the 63rd minute following an own goal from Lisandro Martínez. However, Matheus Cunha struck in the 89th minute to rescue a point for Manchester United, leaving Arbeloa's team without their first league victory of the campaign.
It is worth noting that Fulham have collected just two points from their opening five Premier League matches this season, recording two draws and three defeats.
