ASFAR coach Alexandre Santos defiant ahead of the second leg despite losing 1-0 in Pretoria
Alexandre Santos has disclosed that ASFAR will do more in Rabat than what they did in Pretoria last night.
Santos was speaking after the 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versveld last night in what was also a dramatic Caf Champions League first leg final game.
They gave away a foul in a dangerous area which Sundowns profited from to see a Aubrey Modiba freekick sail into the net.
The home side created more chances to score but failed to convert as striker Brayan Leon fire blanks.
But Santos believes back home in North Africa, a more determined ASFAR with change d tactics, will face Sundowns in the Caf Champions League second leg final.
“We expected more opportunities to score but we’re in the first half and the second half will be next weekend, and we have to do more,” he said after the game.
“For sure, we will do more because we could do.
“It was not easy. It was not easy because Sundowns is a very big team. A very strong team.
“Everybody knows, and everybody of our team knows we have a very good chance to face Sundowns next week and to do what we want."
The game next Sunday is a sold out affair.
