Roma has acquired the contract of Spanish defender Angeliño from RB Leipzig on a permanent basis.

According to Football-Italia, the Roman club exercised this option at the last moment, with the deadline for the permanent signing of Angeliño expiring at midnight on May 30.

Previously, it was reported that Roma could secure the player's contract for 5 million euros. The club has prepared a contract for Angeliño until 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is 8 million euros, and his contract with the German team was set to expire in the summer of 2025.

The Spanish full-back has played 20 matches for Roma, providing 1 assist since joining on loan in January.

Earlier reports indicated that Roma had put a forward up for transfer to increase their budget and reduce their wage bill.
