The Opta Analyst supercomputer has released its prediction for the upcoming Premier League season and identified the main favourite in the title race. According to the simulation results, reigning champions Arsenal have the highest probability of clinching the 2026/27 title.

The London club came out on top in 38% of simulations run by the supercomputer, putting Mikel Arteta's side comfortably ahead of their closest rivals, Manchester City. The Citizens are given a 20.5% chance of winning the league.

Liverpool are ranked third among the favourites, with a 9.2% chance to lift the Premier League trophy. The gap between the Reds and the two frontrunners is quite significant according to the projections.

Following Liverpool are Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Chelsea. These clubs are also seen by the supercomputer as potential contenders in the title race, but their chances are noticeably lower compared to Arsenal and Manchester City.

Therefore, according to Opta’s pre-season model, it’s the Gunners who are the leading candidates for the championship crown. The Londoners have been given almost twice the likelihood of success compared to Manchester City.
