Arthur Zwane impressed with Tshepang Moremi's progress since leaving his AmaZUlu side in the Betway Premiership
Arthur Zwane has revealed that Tshepang Moremi’s rise to the top is due to his mental strength.
Zwane, who coached the speedy winger while he was still at AmaZulu, says he had to be on the player’s case in order to get the best out of him.
Moremi joined Orlando Pirates in off-season and has not looked back as he has cemented his place in the Bafana Bafana squad with aplomb.
"I told him ‘Listen; if you wanna make it big, I’m going to be on your case. As to whether you like it or not, you might not see it now but later you will realise why I was on your case’,” Zwane told iDiski Times.
“I think it’s working for him now, because mentally we prepared him for the demands of playing for a big team like Orlando Pirates.
“We’re happy that he’s doing wonders, doing very well for himself. He’s growing as a player and for him to be part of the national team regularly, is very key."
Moremi will play a key role as the PSL resumes next week with Pirates on top of the standings.
