Anfield has become a genuine nightmare for Arsenal.

Details: Ahead of their Premier League showdown with Liverpool on November 1, a shocking statistic has emerged: Arsenal have failed to win any of their last 13 league matches at Anfield. During this incredible run, the Gunners have recorded five draws and suffered eight defeats. Their last Premier League victory at Liverpool's home ground dates back to September 2012, when the Londoners secured a 2-0 triumph.

Interestingly, current Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta was still playing for the Gunners when they last celebrated victory at Anfield. Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla scored the goals that day, but the London club have been unable to repeat that success for more than 14 years.

The upcoming encounter could make this unwanted record even worse. According to Opta, Arsenal have never gone 14 consecutive away league matches against Liverpool without a victory. Their previous 13-game winless streak lasted from 1975-76 to 1987-88, before they famously ended it with a 2-0 triumph in 1989.

It is worth noting that Arsenal have won seven of their first eight Premier League matches this season. Moreover, the Gunners are just one away victory short of reaching 300 wins on the road in Premier League history, a milestone previously achieved only by Manchester United.
