AmaZulu coach Arthur Zwane on their clash against Mamelodi Sundowns: We will give them no respect as teams must know who are when we are on home turf
Mamelodi Sundowns should expect disrespect when they enter the Moses Mabhida Stadium tomorrow night for their Betway Premiership clash against AmaZulu.
This was revealed by Usuthu coach Arthur Zwane ahead of the top of the table clash in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
“We’re at home now, we have to impose ourselves and show that we’re playing at home, show no respect cause the minute you show the big teams respect, they get on top of you,” said Zwane.
Usuthu are fifth on the PSL standings with 30 points, five less than Sundowns they see themselves as dark horses of the championship race.
Zwane said they are entering this tie against Sundowns with the aim of collecting maximum points.
“Like any other coach, when you’re playing for three points, the first thing that comes to mind how are going to apply ourselves tomorrow, are we gonna execute the plan?” said Zwane.
“Those are the worries, no major worries, it’s the things that are playing at the back of my mind.
“We played against Sundowns, lost 2-0 [in the first round], we had three clear chances in that game in Pretoria. We were close before they scored two goals.
“It’s just like how we suffered against [Orlando] Pirates, referee’s optional time, we’re chasing the game and we concede the second goal.
“We just have to take our chances, not half chances, I’m talking about [clear] chances.
“In those moments, they create goal-scoring opportunities to hurt you.”
The match starts at 7.30pm.
