Al Nassr failed to defeat Al-Hazem without Ronaldo
In the 22nd round of the Saudi Professional League, Al Nassr hosted Al-Hazem at home on Thursday, February 29th. Cristiano Ronaldo was notably absent from this match due to suspension.
Al Nassr started the match more aggressively, but it was their opponents who initially scored first. However, it's worth noting that this goal was disallowed after VAR review. Al Nassr then took the lead as Talisca converted a penalty in the 31st minute.
After the break, Al-Hazem equalized early in the second half, in the 55th minute. Seven minutes later, Talisca once again put Al Nassr ahead, but four minutes later, the visitors leveled the score again. In the 72nd minute, Anderson Talisca completed his hat-trick, putting Al Nassr ahead for the third time. Yet again, their lead was short-lived as Al-Hazem equalized again in the 85th minute.
It seemed the match was heading for a 3-3 draw. However, Al-Hazem made a mistake in stoppage time, conceding a penalty for a foul on an Al Nassr player. Sadio Mané successfully converted the penalty. Al-Hazem, however, showed incredible resilience, managing to score for the fourth time in the match in the 10th minute of stoppage time, resulting in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
