AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Cruise Into Quarter Finals After 4–0 Win Over Mozambique
The Super Eagles of Nigeria booked their place in the AFCON 2025 quarter finals after a dominant 4–0 victory over Mozambique in their Round of 16 clash in Fès.
Ademola Lookman opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Victor Osimhen doubled Nigeria’s lead five minutes later. Lookman struck again shortly after the break, scoring his second goal in the 47th minute.
Nigeria remained in control throughout the match, and Akor Adams completed the rout with a fourth goal in the 75th minute.
The win keeps Nigeria’s push for a fourth AFCON title on track, with the Super Eagles set to face the winner of the tie between Algeria and DR Congo in the quarterfinals.
