AFCON 2025: Regragui Says AFCON Is Never Easy to Win

Morocco coach Walid Regragui says winning the Africa Cup of Nations is never easy after the hosts drew 1-1 with Mali in their second group match.

Speaking after the game, he defended his players amid pressure on favourites. “There should be no doubt. The players are under enormous pressure… it’s going to be difficult,” he said, adding, “You don’t win an AFCON easily.”

Morocco remain well placed to reach the knockout stage in their next fixture as hosts look ahead.
