In the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, DR Congo and Senegal battled to a draw.
Heading into the match, the Teranga Lions were clear favorites, but things proved much trickier for Papa Thiaw's side. The first half ended goalless, and midway through the second period, Bakambu fired the Congolese team into the lead.
Senegal managed to avoid defeat in the 69th minute, when veteran Sadio Mane equalized. For the 33-year-old, this was his 52nd goal in a Senegal shirt.
It's worth noting that Senegal will play their final group stage match on December 30 against Benin. A draw in that encounter will guarantee the team a spot in the playoffs.
