2027 AFCON Qualifiers: Where and when to watch the Senegal v Mozambique match?

The Lions of Teranga take to the pitch this Friday, 25 September, the Mambas in the qualifiers for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

Patrick Vieira’s side are favourites for this opening fixture, which will be played at the Zimpeto National Stadium in Maputo. But ahead of kick-off, Senegal hold a historic advantage over the Mambas.

In seven official encounters, the Lions of Teranga have recorded six wins and one draw. However, the match on 25 September could be a special one.

Senegal, which was originally due to play this match in Dakar, has moved it to Maputo due to a lack of available stadiums in the Senegalese capital. Mozambique will therefore have the home advantage on this opening day of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
