100 days to go: Women's Rugby World Cup trophy unveiled

With just one hundred days remaining until the start of the premier women's international rugby tournament—the World Cup—the final preparations are underway. South Africa's national team will be among the contenders, and organizers have revealed the trophy that teams will be battling for.
Details: The trophy is crafted from sterling silver and plated with 24-carat gold. Football fans might notice a resemblance to the trophy awarded to the top team in South America, and indeed, there are some similarities between the two.
This year's tournament in England will, for the first time, feature all six rugby regions, with 16 nations competing, and South America’s representative, Brazil, making its debut on the sport’s grandest stage.

The South African team, meanwhile, is set to play in their fourth World Cup. Their best finish to date remains tenth place, achieved in both 2010 and 2014.
Reminder: The World Cup kicks off on August 22, but South Africa’s campaign begins two days later with a group stage clash against Brazil. During the group stage, South Africa will also face Italy and France.
