Can Levante stop Atlético's six-game winning run? Levante vs Atlético Madrid prediction - 31.10.2026
Levante and Atlético Madrid meet on Saturday, October 31, in Matchday 11 of LaLiga at the Estadio Ciutat de València. The hosts are 14th with 10 points from ten matches, while Diego Simeone's Atlético sit second with 25 points after winning eight of their opening ten league games. The gap in the table is already significant, but Levante's attacking numbers at home suggest the visitors should not expect a comfortable afternoon.
Levante: plenty of goals, but defensive stability remains the main concern
Luís Castro's first months in charge have produced an adventurous Levante side. The Portuguese coach, who signed until June 2027, has maintained the attacking identity that was expected when he took over, but the price has often been a lack of control without the ball. Levante have scored 16 goals in ten LaLiga matches but have already conceded 19.
Their recent league games illustrate the pattern perfectly. Levante lost 2-1 to Real Sociedad after beating Athletic Club 3-1, drawing 1-1 with Deportivo and 3-3 with Sevilla, and losing 3-1 at Villarreal. Both teams scored in all five of those matches, with Levante finding the net nine times but also conceding ten.
At home, Castro's team have been especially aggressive. Their four league matches at the Ciutat de València have produced a 5-2 win over Real Betis, a 4-2 defeat to Barcelona, a 3-3 draw against Sevilla and a 3-1 victory over Athletic Club. That means Levante have scored 13 times at home, but they have yet to keep a home clean sheet in LaLiga.
Roger Brugué has been their biggest individual threat with five league goals, while Iván Romero has added three. However, there are personnel concerns in midfield and defence. Enzo Bardeli has a left hamstring injury, while Dela missed the latest league game because of physical discomfort, so their availability against Atlético remains uncertain.
Atlético Madrid: Simeone has found the balance again
Atlético arrive in Valencia in excellent domestic form. After ten rounds, Simeone's team have eight wins, one draw and only one defeat, with 20 goals scored and eight conceded. Their tally of 25 points matches the club's best LaLiga start at this stage in the last 13 seasons.
Even more impressive is the current winning streak. Atlético have beaten Real Sociedad, Osasuna, Real Madrid, Alavés, Espanyol and Deportivo in six consecutive league matches. Four of those victories came with a clean sheet, including the two most recent against Espanyol and Deportivo.
The squad has also become much less dependent on one goalscorer. Álex Baena leads Atlético in LaLiga with five goals, while Grimaldo and Jonathan David have also contributed regularly. Julián Álvarez has had a quieter start statistically, but he scored the decisive goal in the latest 1-0 league victory over Deportivo and remains one of Simeone's most dangerous options in the final third.
Atlético do have some injury concerns. Koke has been recovering from a thigh problem, Cristian Romero suffered a muscular strain against Espanyol, and Johnny Cardoso was diagnosed with a low-grade thigh injury after the Champions League match in Stuttgart. None of the three featured in the squad against Deportivo.

Key trends
- Atlético Madrid have won six consecutive LaLiga matches.
- Levante have scored and conceded in each of their last five league games.
- Both teams have scored in all four of Levante's home league matches this season.
- Atlético have kept five clean sheets in ten LaLiga games.
- Levante's four home league matches have all produced at least four goals.
- The most recent meeting at the Ciutat de València finished 0-0 in January 2026.
Atlético's greater balance should make the difference: Levante vs Atlético Madrid prediction
Levante are capable of making this uncomfortable. Castro's side play with courage at home, have scored in every league match at the Ciutat de València and possess enough movement in attack through Brugué, Romero and Thiago to punish passive defending.
The problem is that Atlético currently offer exactly the qualities that can expose Levante's weaknesses. Simeone's team are much more controlled without the ball, concede fewer clear chances and have the individual quality to punish turnovers. Six consecutive league victories also show that Atlético are finding different ways to win: they can dominate an open match, but they have also recently protected narrow advantages against Espanyol and Deportivo.
Levante's attacking approach should create some dangerous moments, but over 90 minutes Atlético's superior defensive structure, deeper squad and current consistency give the visitors the edge. A repeat of January's goalless draw looks less likely given how open Levante's home games have been this season.
Prediction: Atlético Madrid to win.
