Canadian centre-back Dominick Zator is parting ways with Polish side Korona Kielce after two-and-a-half seasons, Northern Tribune reported. The 30-year-old, a standout in the CPL with Cavalry and York United, moved to Poland in 2022 shortly after his wedding, betting on himself in a high-risk move that ultimately paid off.
Zator helped the team escape relegation and earned a contract extension, making 65 appearances across his tenure. His final season, however, was marred by a spring injury that limited him to just eleven appearances, although he still captained the side when called upon.
The Calgary-born defender exits as a respected figure among fans and remains on Canada’s radar, having made the preliminary squad for the 2025 Gold Cup alongside other CPL alumni like Joel Waterman and Kwasi Poku.
“When others counted us out, we fought at all costs and proved what Korona can do,” Zator said. “I will cherish the amazing experiences and memories made with my teammates, the club, and the fans.”
Korona Kielce secured an 11th-place finish this season, comfortably clear of relegation. While Zator’s next move remains uncertain, his European experience and national team credentials make him an appealing option for both CPL sides and other clubs abroad.
