Old Trafford is getting louder — but certainly not because of the home supporters.

Details: Bournemouth have stunned Manchester United during the first half of their Premier League clash. With the visitors already leading 2-0 late in the opening period, the travelling supporters began loudly chanting: "You are going down with Man City, you are going down with Man City!"

The situation became particularly painful for Michael Carrick's team shortly before the interval. Rayan opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the 38th minute, and Marcus Tavernier doubled the advantage in the 43rd, leaving United with an enormous task to save the match.

The away end immediately took advantage of the situation. The chant referencing Manchester City rang around Old Trafford while the scoreboard showed 0-2, adding another humiliating element to what had already been a miserable first half for the hosts.

The pressure on Carrick was already extremely high before kick-off following Manchester United's seven-match winless run in all competitions. It is also worth noting that the coach left captain Bruno Fernandes out of the starting XI. Before this fixture, the Portuguese had started all seven Premier League matches this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Reminder: Punishment from Carrick! Manchester United captain left on the bench
