Historic evening! Bournemouth set a unique record at Old Trafford
Manchester United's nightmare at Old Trafford continues. Bournemouth humiliated the illustrious hosts once again, securing a 3-0 victory in the ninth round of the English Premier League. The result became part of an incredible run that has already entered the history of English football.
In their last four league visits to the Red Devils' home ground, Bournemouth have won by at least three goals on three occasions. In December 2023, the Cherries won 3-0, repeated the same result a year later, and in December 2025 the teams put on a goal-fest — a 4-4 draw. Now Bournemouth have once again thrashed the hosts 3-0.
As Mister Chip points out, Bournemouth have become the first team in the 138-year history of England's top flight to win by three or more goals on three occasions in four consecutive visits to Manchester United.
There is another alarming statistic for the Red Devils. No opponent had scored 13 or more goals at Old Trafford across four consecutive Premier League visits since Manchester City. Between 1926 and 1931, the Citizens found the net 14 times against United in four matches.
