Yassine Bounou exudes the calm of the Atlas Lions ahead of the clash with the Netherlands in the round of 32
The Moroccan goalkeeper has assured that his team-mates are not allowing themselves to be distracted by comments made by others.
The Round of 32 match between Morocco and the Netherlands is scheduled for Tuesday 30 June at 1 am GMT. The Atlas Lions, who made history in 2022 by becoming the first African nation to reach the World Cup semi-finals, are dreaming of going even further in tournament, which is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
But ahead of the clash against the Netherlands, Yassine Bounou spoke about the Moroccan team’s mindset. The goalkeeper stated that the Atlas Lions are focused on their objective.
“We’re focused on the job we have to do tomorrow. We’re not paying attention to statements from the Dutch media or their players; we’re thinking only about our match against them.”
