Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta announced at the pre-match press conference that 24-year-old central defender William Saliba will miss the upcoming clash due to illness.
“Saliba felt unwell this morning, so he’s sick and staying at home. It’s nothing serious.” Arteta reported.
Saliba has already missed games earlier this season due to injury. In total, he was sidelined for 31 days with an ankle problem, causing him to miss seven matches, including fixtures for the French national team.
So far this season, Saliba has made 30 appearances for Arsenal, registering one assist.
Reminder: Injury strikes again. Kai Havertz set to miss upcoming matches
