Well-travelled midfielder Mahlatse Makudubela on trial at Betway Premiership side Siwelele FC as he plans to return to SA's PSL after stints in Africa
Mahlatse Makudubela is under assessment at Betway Premiership side Siwelele FC.
Makhudubela has been club-less since leaving Democratic Republic of Congo side AS Vita in the off-season when he his contract was terminated.
The enterprising midfielder has played for Tanzania’s Yanga SC, Platinum Stars and Marumo Gallants previously and the idea of joining Siwelele may augur well for the Bloemfontein side.
Makhudubela’s experience in the PSL and on the continent is second to none and for a side with inconsistent result such as Siwelele, it may be invaluable.
Siwelele, under Lehlohonolo Seema, have been far from impressive let alone play as a team despite signing high-profile players such as Samkelo Zwane, Happy Mashiane and Zakhele Lepasa to mention three.
They are on the 11th spot on the Betway Premiership standings.
Makudubela is one of the few players who have been bold to venture out of South Africa for less fancies leagues on the continent and that has surely added steel to his style of play.
Siwelele FC face Richards Bay this Friday as the league resumes following the Africa Cup of Nations recess.
