Former Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu defender Thembela Sikhakhane under assessment at Betway Premiership side Richards Bay in a bid to earn a contract
Thembela Sikhakhane is under assessment at Richards Bay.
The former AmaZulu right-back has been club-less since parting ways with the Durban side in the off-season.
His arrival at the Natal Rich Boys is loaded with experience as the player has over 204 PSL matches having also played for Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates.
The 32-year-old will be hoping to sign for Richards Bay as the Kwa-Zulu Natal-based side look to consolidate their top eight spot in the Betway Premiership table.
Richards Bay are ninth on the table with 17 points.
“The club will make an announcement regarding new signings and loans this Sunday. Please be patient and wait for the official update,” club chairman Jomo Biyela told FarPost.
They resume their league programme this Friday against Siwelele FC.
The PSL has been in recess due to the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco which ends today.
