Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa shared his thoughts after his team's shocking defeat in La Liga Matchday 25 against Osasuna (1-2). The manager emphasized that the title race is far from over and called on his players to increase their tempo and improve ball movement, but also addressed the controversial refereeing decisions.

Details: The coach drew particular attention to the refereeing calls, which he felt had a direct impact on the match outcome. Arbeloa pointed out that in one of Osasuna's scoring episodes, the officials could have called a foul in the build-up, and also highlighted "questionable" offside calls.

"We were unlucky that every contentious decision went against us. At the same time, we must defend better: the opponent scored twice with just two shots," he added.

Arbeloa also refused to call the result a disaster, stressing that the race for the La Liga title is still very much alive.

"La Liga is a marathon, and it's impossible to win every single match. We need to step up our pace, play faster football, and move the ball more efficiently. I still have complete faith in my players," the coach insisted.

Notably, Real Madrid's next La Liga fixture will be at home against Getafe. Kick-off is scheduled for Monday, March 2, at 21:00 Central European Time.

Reminder: Find out whether José Mourinho will ever return to Real Madrid.
