The La Liga clash between Osasuna and Real Madrid ended not only with a sensational result, but also with a major scandal. Serious unrest broke out at the El Sadar stadium after the final whistle, leading to multiple arrests and injuries.
During the match, an Osasuna supporter threw a bottle at Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The keeper reported the incident to the referee, who then relayed the information to the organizers and security staff.
When security personnel attempted to detain the alleged offender, the situation escalated rapidly. A scuffle broke out between police and a section of the fans, quickly turning into a mass brawl. Additional forces had to be deployed to restore order.
