Wandile Duba stars in Kaizer Chiefs' 3-1 victory over Orbit College at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to move to the third spot in the Betway Premiership
Siphesihle Ndlovu sealed Kaizer Chiefs’ victory against Orbit College this afternoon at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to see Amakhosi jump to third spot in the PSL standings.
The result of the AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United match later today will determine how long Chiefs stay on the Betway Premiership third spot.
This win in Gqeberha sees Chiefs on 39 points which is two above AmaZulu who were on the third spot before Chiefs’ victory and it also brings back their third place finish hopes back to reality.
It has been rather an inconsistent form for Phefeni Glamour Boys but at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, they did come to the party.
Player of the moment Wandile Duba scored the equaliser towards half time after Mbulelo Wagaba gave Orbit College the lead in the 21st minute.
Mduduzi Shabalala scored the second one for Chiefs as they took the lead seven minutes after the hour mark.
It was Ndlovu’s turn 10 minutes later who scored from outside the box to seal the victory for the Soweto side.
This victory gives Chiefs confidence in their push for a strong finish this season but for Orbit College it becomes harder and harder to believe they can move away from the Play-Off relegation spot.
