At that moment, Atlanta's forward Jamal Thiare was behind him, pretending to drink water and seemingly heading back to his teammates, but he was actually waiting for the goalkeeper to make a mistake.

And so it happened. Luka Gavran dropped the ball to the ground, unaware of Thiare behind him. Thiare intercepted the ball and slotted it into the net in the final seconds of the seventh minute of stoppage time.

This blunder gave Atlanta United the victory, allowing the team to overtake CF Montréal in the standings, climbing to ninth place, and tying on points with their opponent today.

Interestingly, for Jamal Thiare, this was his fifth goal of the season in fourteen matches, a commendable record considering he usually comes off the bench.

It is also worth noting that last night, Inter Miami, without Messi, defeated Nashville with a similar scoreline.
