Pogba has made a surprise announcement regarding his future

Former Juventus, Manchester United, and France national team midfielder Paul Pogba has made a rather unexpected statement regarding his future.

The 31-year-old footballer, who was handed a four-year suspension for doping, declared that he has no intention of retiring.

"I'm still a football player. Don't look at that stuff saying I'm retiring, I'm finished... I wanna fight for my career, I'm optimistic. I'm not finished. I'm training hard! I'm still 100% footballer. I can't wait to return on the pitch", – Pogba told Sky Sports in an interview.

Yesterday, Pogba attended the Euro 2024 Round of 16 match in which France defeated Belgium 1-0.

Pogba's suspension will expire in August 2027, by which time he will be 34 years old.
