Victor Osimhen was named Man of the Match following Nigeria’s convincing 2–0 victory over Algeria in the AFCON 2025 quarter-finals on Saturday at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
The Galatasaray striker opened the scoring shortly after the restart, finding the back of the net in the 48th minute to give the Super Eagles the lead. Minutes later, Osimhen showcased his unselfishness by setting up Akor Adams for Nigeria’s second goal, sealing the team’s passage into the semi-finals.
With his performance, Osimhen now has four goals and two assists in the tournament, placing him second in the race for the AFCON 2025 Golden Boot.
