Very rough! Antonio Rüdiger lands a brutal knee to Getafe defender Rico's face. What did the referee say?

Details: Today, in matchday 26 of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid are hosting Getafe and, despite the roaring support of their home crowd, are trailing at halftime.

Real's situation could have been much worse if the referee had been more attentive and strict towards the home side. In one episode, Getafe’s left-back Rico was charging forward with the ball when Real midfielder Arda Güler shoved him in the back, sending Rico crashing to the ground. But that wasn’t the end of it—Rüdiger stormed in recklessly and smashed his knee directly into Rico’s face in a dangerous challenge.

Match referee Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz ignored the incident, leaving Rüdiger unpunished.

Fortunately, Rico escaped serious injury and was able to continue the match.
