Arbeloa's squad is clearly far from their peak form.
Details: As reported by ESPN, yesterday's home defeat for Real Madrid against Getafe in matchday 26 of LaLiga not only widened the gap between the Galacticos and Barcelona in the standings, but also saw Real match their negative record for consecutive LaLiga losses, a feat last seen in May 2019.

This defeat marked Arbeloa's side's second consecutive loss, as in the previous round Real suffered a defeat away to Osasuna. The last time Real lost two LaLiga matches in a row was in May 2019, when Los Blancos fell first to Real Sociedad and then to Real Betis. That season, Real finished a disappointing third in the league.
Currently, this season, Real sit in second place in LaLiga, trailing Barcelona by four points after 26 rounds.
