Leicester and Brighton had intentions of making a player swap, but the deal was not meant to happen. The fault, oddly enough, lies with Chelsea.

Brighton wanted to give away their midfielder Jakub Moder, who has had recent law and order problems in exchange for his Leicester counterpart Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. But, as David Orstein reports, the latter has rejected an offer to move to Brighton.

The 25-year-old midfielder sees two options to continue his career: either stay at Leicester or move to Chelsea London, who have shown interest in him. The latter has recently employed former Foxes head coach Enzo Maresca, who would like to see his recent charge already in a new place of work.

Chelsea are ready to offer Dewsbury Hall a long-term contract and, if the deal between Leicester and Brighton hangs, will put it on the table to the midfielder's representatives.
