Mlungisi Mbunjana’s TS Galaxy sees the Nedbank Cup as a ‘huge moment’ for the Betway Premiership side.

Mbunjana and his TS Galaxy side face National First Division side Milford FC on Sunday at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in a Nedbank Cup semi-final match.

This semi-final in the Ke Yona competition also presents them with an opportunity to redeem their season which has not been the best by their standards.

They were thumped 6-0 by Orlando Pirates two weeks ago and are also not certain of a top eight finish.

After all, Galaxy cannot be taken for granted on winning this trophy as they won it while campaigning in the National First Division in 2019, beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the final.

“It’s a huge moment for us,” said Mbunjana.

“It’s a huge moment for us because the team last won this Cup in 2019 and this is a wonderful opportunity for us to do the same.

“So, we are focused on that. Our mind is not anywhere else. It’s on the cup competition and in the semi-final.

“Preparations are going well and we want to do well, and we want to go as far as winning it.”
