Milford FC coach Dr Xanti Pupuma ahead of their clash against TS Galaxy: We know about them and they do not know about us so that should help us

Dr Xanti Pupuma is hoping TS Galaxy’s lack of awareness on his Milford FC side will stand them in good stead ahead of today’s Nedbank Cup semi-final match.

Pupuma, Milford FC coach, said they are much more at an advantage given that they have seen what TS Galaxy are capable of.

Milford FC though are at an advantage given that not many PSL teams take note of how the National First Division sides plays as they are not television for the greater part of the season unlike Betway Premiership sides.

So for the clash at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium, Milford FC have an upper hand above TS Galaxy in terms of tactical preparation.

“We know TS Galaxy—we’ve watched them many times, so it’s not something we can say we don’t understand about them,” said Pupuma.

“It’s about what we bring on the day, trying to compete at that level, and hopefully God will be on our side. But we have to show up.

“Having said that, I don’t think they know much about us, and it’s our opportunity to surprise them. Let’s see how they react to us, and how we respond to their approach.”

Pupuma said his team aims at not only reaching the final of the Ke Yona competition but also to win it.

“We just have to play, enjoy ourselves, and give our best,” he added.

“The dream is to reach the final and hopefully lift the cup at the end of the day. That’s the dream for everyone, including this team.”
