TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic on their 2-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup: We deserved this victory as we stuck o our game plan
Adnan Beganovic said TS Galaxy’s victory over Mamelodi Sundowns was not a fluke.
TS Galaxy beat Sundowns 2-0 yesterday at a packed Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in what was a shocking result for the PSL defending champions.
The Bosnian-born coach said this victory for the Mpumalanga-based side was a deserved one as Siphamandla Ngwenya and Junior Zindonga scored the goals on the day.
"We deserved to win and to go through and I hope that we can play another match here in the Nedbank Cup," Beganovic said after the game.
"We realised we could press a little bit more because of all their changes, especially the goalkeeper, who is not as good as Williams with his feet.
"When I saw their starting lineup, I decided to move to a middle-block in order to start a high press sometimes."

“I don't want want to put too much pressure on the young players. Yes, Ngwenya shined today by scoring against one of the biggest clubs in the country, but we need to manage him and all the other young players."
