Thunder claim first NBA title in Oklahoma City franchise history

On the night of Monday, June 23, the decisive Game 7 of the NBA Finals took place, with the Oklahoma City Thunder going head-to-head against Indiana. This very clash determined the league champion.
Oklahoma started stronger in the opening quarter, taking the first ten minutes 25-22. However, Indiana narrowly outperformed their rivals in the second, 26-22, sending the teams into halftime with the Pacers holding a slim 48-47 advantage. The pivotal moment, though, came in the third quarter.
Oklahoma City crushed Indiana 34-24 in the third, building a commanding lead that the Pacers couldn't overcome in the final stretch. The final score: 103-91 in favor of the Thunder, who hosted this crucial Game 7.
The game's top scorer was Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who dropped 29 points. He was rightfully named the Finals MVP.
It's worth noting that the Oklahoma City Thunder have captured their first NBA championship in franchise history. Previously, the organization won a title back in 1979, when it was based in Seattle and known as the Seattle SuperSonics.
Reminder: The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a blockbuster trade with the Houston Rockets that will see Kevin Durant change teams. The deal will become official on July 6.
