Things are going better than expected. Ødegaard spoke about his recovery from injury
Martin Ødegaard sustained an injury during Norway's Nations League match against Austria in early September. Details: Ødegaard attended Arsenal's pre-match press conference ahead of their Premier League game against Southampton. He shared positive news about his recovery and mentioned that he would soon be returning to training.
Quote: “I just wanted to start by giving the latest update on my injury and rehabilitation. Over the past week or so, I’ve made really good progress.
Each day I’m feeling better and better, and I feel like everything is going well. When you feel things are moving forward, it gives you the motivation to push harder and work even more.
Today is our last game before the next international break, so I’ll have a bit more time to focus on my rehab.
Hopefully, it won’t take too long. I think we’ll know more once I get back to the training pitches and see how my ankle reacts.
At the moment, everything is going well and looking better than we initially thought, but we’ll still need to take it step by step,” Ødegaard’s words were quoted by Daily Mail.
Reminder: Despite Ødegaard’s absence, Arsenal has been managing well. During this period, they won five out of seven matches, drawing against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League and Manchester City in the Premier League. Their attack has also thrived, netting 17 goals across those seven matches without the Norwegian.
Arsenal's next match will take place after the international break, with Bournemouth being their first opponent in the Premier League, followed by a Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk.
