The Ivory Coast Elephants head to their training camp for the international break

The Ivory Coast national team officially began their training camp on Monday 21 September in Abidjan to prepare for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Several players have already joined the training camp. Head coach Hervé Renard had already taken up residence in Abidjan on the evening of Sunday 20 September, as had Patrick Zabi, Christ Inao, Yan Diomande, Rayan Fofana and Bazoumana Touré.

Players are gradually continuing to arrive in the Ivorian capital as the Elephants prepare to kick off their qualifying campaign. Hervé Renard’s squad will head to Bouaké on Tuesday 22 September, where they will host Ghana’s Black Stars on 24 September for the first match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Following this match, the Ivorians will return to Abidjan for their second qualifying fixture against Somalia. The Ivorian national team will then round off this international break with a friendly match against Cameroon.
